Danielle Northcutt, LSW
Hello! My name is Danielle Northcutt, and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). I earned my Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University. Before transitioning into the therapy field, I spent ten years as an educator working with preschool-aged children. This background provided me with a strong foundation in child development, family systems, and early intervention, all of which I thoughtfully integrate into my clinical work.
Beginning therapy often comes with uncertainty, vulnerability, and hope. Choosing to seek support is a powerful decision—one that reflects a desire for change, balance, and personal growth. My purpose is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply, addressing the experiences that have shaped you, and creating pathways toward healing and fulfillment.
My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and cultural awareness. Drawing from both clinical expertise and lived experience, I am committed to creating an environment where you feel seen, heard, and respected. I am especially passionate about reducing mental health stigma and increasing access to compassionate care within culturally diverse communities. In our work together, you are invited to explore your story openly and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I bring over eight years of experience working across a wide range of mental health settings, including medical facilities, schools, nonprofit organizations, and foster care systems. I have partnered with individuals and families facing emotional distress, life transitions, and ongoing challenges. My work centers on strengthening coping skills, increasing self-awareness, confidence, managing stress effectively, and fostering resilience that supports lasting change.
It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you move toward clarity, healing, and growth. Together, we will approach life’s challenges with intention and compassion, building the tools you need to thrive—now and in the future.
I will be practicing under the supervision of Angela Harris, LISW-S, in compliance with Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
