As a brand-new business owner learning the ropes, opening a mental health clinic has been both exciting and intimidating. I want to take a moment to thank my amazing clinicians for trusting me, and our clients for trusting us with their care.

The idea for this clinic began years ago when I saw a need in the communities where I lived. When my family learned we’d be moving back to the Dayton area (we lived here from 2017–2020), it felt like the perfect opportunity to bring that vision to life.

At first, I imagined starting small—offering virtual services and hiring a few contractors—keeping it simple while learning the process. But during my research, I came across a charming space on Kentshire Drive. I loved the building and location so much that I took the leap and opened a physical office sooner than planned.

Meet Our Team:

·       Nicole – Our first hire, bringing years of private practice experience. She specializes in ADHD, LGBTQIA+ topics, and parenting support, and is a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.

·       Angela – Joining us remotely, Angela provides invaluable services for those who have experienced trauma, with a specialty in EMDR. She also has expertise in substance use disorders.

·       Brianna – Joining in mid-July, Brianna filled her schedule within just 10 days! She specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder, is trained as a PLAY Project Consultant, and is an accredited provider for the Triple P: Positive Parenting Program.

About Me:
I’m Alicia, currently on maternity leave with no set return date. While I love providing therapy, I’m cherishing this time with our newborn, watching my three-year-old become the best big sister, and enjoying my husband’s return from a six-month deployment. From home, I’m focused on supporting our incredible clinicians and helping the Resiliency Center grow, with more specialists joining us in the months ahead.
